The moment you step out of your car you are hit with the sweet smell of orange blossoms and treated to a sight fast disappearing from the Inland Empire. The park is situated on a hilltop with views of mountains and the valley below. There is a visitor center with exhibits and movies about the history of Citrus in California. Outside you will find miles of trails to explore, a gazebo with rose garden suitable for weddings, the Sunkist Center and of course Orange groves. California Citrus State Historic Park

Oceanside has a wide sandy beach and is home to the longest wooden pier on the west coast. For many years a sign along coast highway advertised Oceanside with the famous words "Tan your hide in Oceanside" Today the city is replacing older buildings with high rise condos and upscale housing. Downtown is being revitalized with new shopping and restaurants. The best place to spend the day is at the 3.5 mile long beach. Oceanside Beach
