Fort MacArthur Museum

Fort MacArthur preserves the remains of the Los Angeles harbor defenses. The Fort is located high on a hill overlooking the harbor and coastline. Richard Nixon Library

Take time to visit this place it will really suprise you. Many interesting exhibits inside. Outside the gardens are amazing. The original farm house where President Nixon was born is just a few steps away from his final resting place in the Nixon Memorial Garden. Inside the Library is the main gallery where you can take a journey through history exploring the many exhibits.

Olvera Street Los Angeles

Mexican food cooked at the open-air stalls, strolling Mexican guitarists & singers and shops selling souvenirs and handcrafted Mexican products. Located in downtown Los Angeles Olvera Street is the birthplace of the city. Free tours are given to the public by the Las Angelinas, a non-profit organization. Bodie State Park

An original ghost town from the late 1800's stands today in a state of "arrested decay". After leaving the paved State Highway a 3 mile trip on a graded dirt road brings you to this State historic Park. With around 200 buildings in this old mining town you will have plenty of exploring to keep you busy for hours. Be sure to bring your own water and food as there are no services in town. Bates Nut Farm

The farm is tucked away in an oak filled valley near Valley Center. Finding the farm is an adventure for first time visitors. Valley Center is on the verge of a building boom with a new main road and tracts of housing starting to show up. So far Bates Farm has retained it's rural atmosphere due to it's location 3 miles from the main highway. Bates Nut Farm

Skunk Train: Fort Bragg

The Skunk line runs 40 miles from Fort Bragg on the coast to Willits. Along the way, the tracks cross some 30 bridges and trestles and pass through two mountain tunnels. The half-way point of Northspur is giving passengers a chance to have lunch before continuing to Willits or heading back to Fort Bragg.
