LA Zoo and Botanical Gardens

The Los Angeles Zoo is often overlooked because of it's bigger neighbor to the South, the San Diego Zoo. Many people are surprised to find that the LA Zoo is such a nice place to visit. With over 950 animals and a lush tropical setting the zoo is defiantly worth putting on your LA to do list. A couple of tips to make your LA Zoo visit more enjoyable are to arrive early and take the Zoo tram up the hill to the back exhibits and work your way down the hill. There is more than enough things to keep you busy all day long however the LA Zoo can become quite crowded in the afternoon. Take the kids, have fun and start your LA Zoo adventure early.
