San Francisco Zoo

San Francisco Zoo The San Francisco Zoo is northern California's largest zoo. With it's location overlooking the Pacific Ocean the zoo is an ideal place to spend the day. Kids will really enjoy taking a ride on the historic Little Puffer miniature steam train and hopping on the Dentzel Carousel for a spin. With over 900 animals to view plan on spending at least four hours at the San Francisco Zoo. The San Francisco Zoo is located on the Great Highway between Skyline and Sloat Boulevards, next to the Pacific Ocean. Open daily 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. General admission prices are: Adults $11; Seniors and Youths $8; Children age 3-11 $5; and, Children age 2 and under are free. For San Francisco residents: Adults $9; Seniors and Youths $4.50; Children ages 3-11 $2.50; and, Children age 2 and under are free. Parking is $6.
