Farmers Market LA Clock Tower Farmers Market has been on the corner of third and Fairfax in Los Angeles since 1934. Over the years it has offered trout fishing, a drive in theatre, car hop restaurant and an antique mall. Today the market is visited by tourist from all over the world and is just as popular as ever with the locals. The Grove Shopping District
After visiting the Farmers Market you can walk or take a free trolley to the huge Grove shopping district which is next door. The upscale shopping is night and day different from the 75 year old market but definitely worth taking a look at. It's like walking through time form 1950 into 2009 in a matter of seconds. The Farmers Market and Grove Shopping District will keep you busy for an entire day. Parking in the Market lot is a little hard to get but the Grove has a multi story parking structure. Both offer two hours free parking but you must get it validated by a merchant. After two hours each extra hour is about three dollars. If you park at the market you must have a market merchant validate your ticket. The same rule applies for the Grove.
