Carpinteria State Beach - Santa Barbara

Carpinteria State Beach Carpinteria State Beach is called the “the safest beach in the world” by locals and is definitely one of the best beaches along the Southern California coast. Beach camping is a favorite pass time at Carpinteria State Beach. There is even an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner station within walking distance of the campground so it's possible to take the train and go tent camping at this great beach. Carpinteria State Beach was once a busy canoe building center for the Chumash Indians. Carpinteria is located between Santa Barbara and Ventura and has been rated the #1 swimming beach in California. The campground at Carpinteria State Beach has 213 campsites for RV's and tent camping and is open year round. During the summer months reservations are a must. Southern California Beach Camping
