Refugio State Beach Santa Barbara

Refugio State Beach is one of four places in Santa Barbara where you can camp on the beach. There are 66 camping sites some of which are just a few steps from the Pacific Ocean. A bike trial runs along the coast to El Capitain State Beach or you can just hang out at the beach and enjoy the California sun. If you are planning on camping reserve early or try visiting late summer when the crowds thin out. For a day trip there are picnic picnic tables and grills and shade provided by the huge palm tress that line the beach.
