Laguna Beach California

Main Beach Laguna Laguna Beach is one of the most scenic places along the Southern California coast. Summer can be quite busy with visitors from all over the world. During the off season Laguna is for locals and savvy travelers who have found out the weather is almost as good in winter as summer. Downtown Laguna has not changed that much over the years. Some new restaurants, a few new hotels but other than that it looks much the same as it did the the sixties. So far the city has resisted high rise mega resorts and hotels. At least for now Laguna Beach remains a quaint seaside town.
Laguna Main Beach sand view
Main beach is the most visited beach along the Laguna coast. The beach is wide and sandy with plenty of room to lay out in the sun or go for a stroll along the sand. Pacific coast Highway parallels the ocean here giving passing drivers a quick look at all the activity along the boardwalk and beach. Laguna Canyon road heads inland from here and takes you through the canyon to the suburban area or Irvine. If you take a trip through the canyon be sure to stop at Orange Counties only working winery and sample some of the fine Laguna Canyon wine.
Aliso beach Aliso Beach is a few miles further along PCH and is another beautiful Southern California beach. At one time there was a pier here but after being damaged by several storms it was removed. No more pier fishing but with a view like this who needs fishing. Aliso Beach has a sharp drop off if you decide to swim here use caution.
Laguna Coast Southern California enjoys some of it's best weather after the summer season. Fall and winter are a great time to visit So Cal. These pictures were taken mid October, sunny sky and mid seventy temperature. Laguna Beach is a perfect destination for a day trip or weekend getaway.
