San Diego Wild Animal Park Zip Line

Zip Line
San Diego Wild Animal park in Escondido has installed a zip line that allows a rider to fly over the Asia and Africa field exhibits. The whole zip line experience lasts about 1.5 hours. Park visitors purchase a ticket and step on a scale, recessed in the ground, to confirm weight parameters that must be between 75 and 250 pounds. After signing a liability release waiver, guests enter an orientation area, where they watch a short video showing how to take off and land. They'll learn to put on a harness before heading to a practice deck, where they will try a Training Flight Launch that lasts about 20 seconds. Then, guests will board an open-air safari vehicle and travel 12 minutes up a winding one-lane road to the Flightline Launch.
Flightline: 3,677 feet long, 421-foot drop in elevation. Average speed: 31 to 56 miles per hour; the Flightline ride lasts between one and two minutes. Minimum age to ride the zip line is ten years old. Park entrance fee is required plus the cost of the zip line.
