Lake Isabella
Lake Isabella is located in Kern County and traps the cool fresh water from the Sequoia National Forest.

After a day on the lake many tourist like to explore the surrounding area and they are a surprising assortment of things to do.

Silver City Ghost Town a short drive on Highway 155. Silver is a recreated ghost town but gives you a good peak into the history of the Kern Valley.

Another interesting place to visit is the Kern Valley Museum in Kernville. iThe museum houses artifacts from prehistoric times to present day and has a collection of both indoor and outdoor exhibits, including some the valley’s original buildings. It is open year round, and best of all it’s free.
