Napa Valley Wines and Lovely Scenery

Napa Valley is a popular day trip from San Francisco and Sacramento. Visitors enjoy the beautiful valley, taste wines, enjoy fine dining and shop at unique boutiques.

 Highway 29 is the main road through Napa Valley and can get congested on weekends.

To really enjoy your trip try to visit during the week or if you must visit on the weekend take a guided bus tour.

 The town of Napa, located at the southern part of the valley, has a charming downtown filled with unique boutique and beautiful old homes.

Head north on Highway 29 from Napa and you will reach the town Oakville, home to some very well-known wineries, including Dolce, Far Niente, Groth Vineyards, Opus One and Robert Mondavi.

The last town in the Napa Valley is Calistoga. Here you will find Hurd Beeswax Candle Factory and retail outlet, art galleries and book stores. Natural hot springs occur in Calistoga, which means you can soak in a mineral bath or mud bath at one of the local spas.
