Parade of Ships Fleet Week San Francisco

Fleet Week San Francisco

Fleet week is observed at all major US navel ports San Diego, New Your and San Francisco. One tradition of fleet week in San Francisco is the Parade of Ships which features historic navel ships.

San Francisco Fleet Week is October 4 - 8, 2012. Events scheduled include the Fleet Week Air Show with the Blue Angels and the  Parade of Ships after which they will berth along the northern San Francisco waterfront.

There will also be a Italian Heritage Parade and everyone will get a chance to tour the navel vessels.

One of the best ways to see the Parade of Ships is from a tour boat. Hop aboard a special Red and White Fleet cruise from Fisherman's Wharf for a fantastic view of the Parade of Ships, an always-exciting highlight of San Francisco's Fleet Week.

Guests will gather mostly on the outdoor decks of the vessels to see the historic military vessels during the Parade of Ships, as they sail into San Francisco Bay from underneath the Golden Gate Bridge.

This year's flotilla features modern-day and historic military vessels, including a dozen U.S. Navy ships. Appetizers from the buffet and a complimentary beverage is included.
