Fun Things To Do On Mothers Day Southern California

Mothers Day
Mothers day is just around the corner and everyone is trying to decide what to get and what to do on Mothers day. Here is a list of  fun things to do with Mother on her special day.

Enjoy a visit to a botanical garden.   If your mom is a garden enthusiast she will be amazed at  the collections of exotic and native plants. This time or year flowers are in full bloom making this outing a day to remember. After viewing the gardens head off to lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Picnic at the park or take a hike along the beach. Bring along a picnic lunch and avoid Mothers Day waiting lines at  restaurants. Some larger regional parks offer pedal boating, bike rentals and even train rides. What better way to spend Mothers Day than at a local park with the whole family.

Crystal Cove State Park is a wonderful place where you can spend hours enjoying  the breathtaking Newport Coast.   The Beachcomber Restaurant will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner (expect a long line) and up on the bluff   Ruby's Shack Shack will be offering burgers and shakes all day long.

If you would rather stay out of the sun  then head to an outlet mall. Moms love to shop and if you have not yet picked up a gift then let her choose her own. Larger outlets like Ontario Mills, Outlets at Orange and   Carlsbad Premium Outlet Mall have numerous dining options in or nearby the mall.

The best Mother’s Day gift is appreciation, love and spending the whole day with mom.
