Things to do on a Rainy Day in Southern California

It never rains in Southern California (well almost) but when it does there are still plenty of things to keep you busy. Some of the more obvious things are movie theaters, dining out and of course shopping at the mall. More things to do on rainy day:

Pirates Dinner Adventure Afternoon and evening shows rain or shine. Pirate’s Dinner Adventure is acclaimed as “the world’s most unique interactive dinner show.” Buena Park.

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament Javelin throwing and jousting in an indoor castle. Medieval Times is a dinner theater and tournament located in Buena Park, Southern California.

Discovery Science Center 120 hands-on exhibits, live science shows, and a 3D laser show. Kids participate in live science and more. One of the best places to take kids in Southern California.

Reuben H. Fleet Science Center More than 100 interactive science exhibits in five galleries. The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center is also home to the world’s first IMAX Dome Theater. San Diego.

Southern California museums Most museums are indoors and would not normally be on the top of your list on a nice sunny day. Rainy days are a great time to get educated with a visit to a museum.

Amusement Parks If the rain is light the parks stay open and the crowds stay at home. Bring a rain coat and skip the long lines. Call ahead to see if the park is open before you head out the door.
